2.Where to Start a Blog?

3.Selecting The Blogging Platform.

4.Selecting The Niche

5.Setting up and Designing the Blog

6.Monetizing the Blog

7.Getting Traffic to the Blog

8.Starting a Newsletter

9.Bonus Tip For Wannabe History Bloggers!

2020 has been a tumultuous year for all of us especially due to the pandemic. But this also opened up a large amount of creativity among people amidst the lockdown. I too started this History Blog four months ago when I thought I would die from boredom.

Maybe it’s time you too start a History Blog or Blog of any Niche!

1.Why should You start a Blog?

Well Because its fun to have something you own. Having your own website and sharing information in it is so fun and even an enriching experience.

Plus you can learn a lot as you need to research a bit or read a bit  to make a blog post which is informative and readable.

And as Jordan B Peterson said, If you can think and write efficiently you become deadly. The information you write will be stuck into your mind than when you simply read a stuff.

For example when I read the Book sapiens 2 times, I could recollect some of the elements but not all. But when I wrote a blog post here, I could almost instantaneously recollect all the vital points in the book.

So writing is an underrated skill!

Plus you can make money out of your blog by either monetizing it with ad networks or by affiliate marketing!

So there is a plenty of reasons why you should start a History blog or blog of any niche in 2022!

Ok I am convinced about starting a Blog, But from where do I start a Blog?. Read on!

2.Where to Start a Blog?

You can simply use blogger.com or wordpress.com to start a website from scratch in less than 5 minutes!.

So in points here are some things which you should remember/do-

3.Selecting The Blogging Platform.

I personally use Blogger. But if you are really serious you should start with wordpress.com than with blogger.com.

37% of the websites in the world is powered by WordPress, That’s how widely popular it is. By the way if you are not much serious you can always start with blogger as it is easy to use. Plus whenever you feel to use blogging seriously you can transfer your site to WordPress.

After you get used to them I would recommend you to host a custom domain. Hosting is relatively cheap as much as a latte coffee you buy occasionally.

For example, This History Blog was first started on blogger as www.lostinhistory.blogspot.com and later I purchased a GoDaddy domain and changed it to www.lostonhistory.com

Hosting Services for custom domains which are Cheap-

a).GoDaddy

b).Hostinger

c).BlueHost

By the way remember to choose a .com domain name over .org , .tech etc. as .com is still the most famous domain name out there.

4.Selecting The Niche

Almost 2 years ago I started having an interest in WW2 and its history and Soon I found myself watching a lot of movies on it and started writing answers about it on a Q and A platform called Quora.

After a while I started getting interested more about history especially after reading the book SAPIENS and soon it originated into a blog which you are reading right now.

Similarly, You too would have some kind if an interest. Maybe finance?. Maybe reading books? Maybe about technology? Maybe about History just like me?

Think deep on anything which you feel you know a bit more than an average person around you.

Yes.That’s Your Niche!

Don’t ever start a blog without deciding a Niche. If you think you are simply going to write stuff on whatever topics you feel writing on your blog, It would be havoc.

So decide the niche before even thinking about starting a blog.

5.Setting up and Designing the Blog-

Use this site for best free blogger templates. Download your favorite template file you picked and extract it and upload it in case of blogger

In case of WordPress there are enough cool templates on the site itself.

Points to Remember while setting up the Blog-

-Have a catchy heading for your blog

-Always research before writing a blog post

-While you need not focus on the SEO and Keyword research at first, Gradually try to learn more on them.

-Keep the Blog post so simple that even a 7 year old can understand it.

-Write consistently whether its once a week or once in 3 days.

-Don’t forget

+An About page

+A Privacy Policy Page.

6.Monetizing the Blog

-Adsense

Apply for Adsense directly on the earnings tab in case of Blogger. Adsense is the foremost way to monetize the blog. They are from google and hence trustable too.

Adsense could take some time to be approved, So if u need a quick scheme to monetize you can choose and of the following-

1.Adsterra

Adsterra provides an almost instant approval provided that you blog has some content in it and the payout is as low as 5 dollars. So Adsterra is a good way to start monetizing the blog!

2.Propeller Ads

is a large ad network that offers a range of adverts like banners, sponsored links, push notifications, and allows you to reach 1 billion users.

3.POPADS

Instant Approval .This system uses popups as ads. So if you are okay with it go for them as they pay good if u have some decent amount of vistor’s to your blog.

(There are also other AD Networks which you can add Ads.I used the above three personally in this blog,Hence I only mentioned them.)

7.Getting Traffic to the Blog

My Blog has touched 70000 visits which I drive from various social media networks.

Here are some ways you can drive traffic to your blog-

1.Quora

Quora is a Q and A platform. Write Quality answers on your Quora platform and attach the links to your website accordingly to the answers. If your answer is really good and the algorithm loves it it will spread like a wildfire and people will start clicking on your blog links.

Bonus-

Start a Quora Space. It is more like a blog on Quora. Start a Quora space with your blog name. And Quora is an established website, Your space can feature on Google search results and also give your a good amount of traffic to your site.

2.Reddit

Start a Reddit account. Engage with the community and join them too. For example if your blog is of the niche technology, Join subreddits like r/technology.

But don’t spam.

Be an active participant and actually provide value to the community, They will always support back where you will get a lot of people in visits.

3.Facebook

Start a Facebook page about your blog and start posting your contents in it, Also you can promote the page very cheaply and hence getting god traffic at a low price!.

4.Twitter

Post some of your interesting blog posts as threads on twitter and start building an audience. Twitter is pretty cool way to get traffic.

5.Medium

Medium is similar to Quora but more like a blog. In here you can post your blog contents and Medium having a high authority score will enable that your blog reach at the top in Google search.

6.Telegram channel

Most don’t do this actually. But it works!.There aren’t really much good niched telegram channel.

For example there aren’t much history niche telegram channels. So I started one called you know Lost on History and I share all my articles there.

It has almost 230 plus subscribers over there.(Not much,But they are sure visitors to my site).Plus it’s free to start a channel. So start one for your blog!

8.Starting a Newsletter

Starting a newsletter with important contents in the form of daily or weekly mails can help create a bond with the readers and the will always stick around your blog and be regular visitors.

You can collect mails by embedding a sign-up form in your blog by using mailing services like MailChimp.

9.Bonus Tips For Wannabe History Bloggers!

Starting a History Blog is really a fun way to learn and earn money. By the way remember that there aren’t much history blogs compared to tech and health niches.

Plus if you are a regular reader and felt history to be interesting, It is always good to have a blog.

How To Find Topics For Your History Blog?

Read a lot. Find topics which you feel isn’t properly written as a Blogspost in the internet. It should be interesting such as Similarities between Gandhi and Hitler, About the 14 different Ancient Human Species ..Or it can be a summary post of the history book you have recently read!. There is a wide scope for a history blog!

CONCLUSION

Starting a Blog is the best way to Learn and Earn as said Above.Even if it doesn’t fly off well enough as intended, It can stimulate you intellectually.

And Who knows, Maybe your blog could give you your next breakthrough and change your life?

It Most Probably Could!

THE FALL OF THE ROMANIAN DICTATOR

How a single second of action bought a communist dictatorship to an end.

Communism was an ideology which thrived for 80 long years until it started loosing its control from the late 1980’s.Communist regimes started crumbling one by one due to defective organization.

In the last few months of the decade, Berlin wall fell and countries where communism reigned for years such as Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria were being swept by revolutions.

Nicolae Ceaușescu, The Communist Dictator of Romania knew that at this rate revolutions would soon hit his government. But he was confident that he could withstand the revolution. He didn’t even bother the riots against his government rule in The Romanian city of Timișoara on 17th December 1989.

To prove the Romanians and the rest of the world that majority of the population loved him (or feared him),He organized a mega rally and filled the Romanian City square with 80,000 people on 21st of December 1989.

All of Romanians were instructed to stop whatever they were doing at that time and tune into their televisions and radios to hear speech of Nicolae Ceaușescu.

The crowd which gathered were enthusiastic holding flags, with the usual placards that said “long live Ceausescu” and, “long live the Romanian Communist Party”

A crowd of 80,000 with placards of “Long Live Ceausescu”

And Nicolae Ceaușescu at his building balcony started to give a riveting speech with “Dear Comrades and Friends…”(as he always did countless times before) and boasted on the greatness of Romanian socialism for a period of 8 minutes and the crowed clapped along to whatever he said.

The Beginning of the End

And Immediately what followed simply changed the history of Romania.

Just as Nicolae Ceaușescu starts another sentence of his speech saying ‘I want to thank the initiators and organizers of this great event in Bucharest, considering it as a—-’

And suddenly Nicolae Ceaușescu becomes silent and freezes in shock and disbelief as you can see in the below image.

Nicolae in disbelief.

In a matter of one second his life changed.

Someone in the crowed booed.

And following that person another booed.

And another and another and another.

Within a matter of few seconds the entire masses of the people gathered at the city began booing and shouting and cursing abuse on Nicolae Ceaușescu.

And mind you this all happened in live Television ,The entire Romanian population heard and saw what was happening on Television and radios abusing him.

The Securiate -The secret police of the government ordered the live broadcast to be stopped immediately.

But the Television crews disobeyed.

They still recorded it live. Now all of Romania saw what was happening.

Nicolae Ceaușescu yelled “Hello Hello!”  acting as if it was the problem was with the mike in front of him.

HIs wife Elena ordered the population to shut up, But Nicolae Ceaușescu scolded her in front of live television ‘You be quiet’! and he appealed the crowed in the square “My comrades be quiet comrades….”

Nicolae with his wife Elena,4 days before they get executed.

But they never did.

The Romanian communist government crumbled.

Nicolae Ceaușescu dominated the 20 million Romanians for years. All ended when a person booed and others followed him.

The Agitated Crowd

All because of that one second.(By the way no one knows who booed first, It still remains a mystery to this day.

After this speech Nicolae Ceaușescu ran away and was caught almost immediately and was executed 4 days later, still wearing the same clothes.

The main charge against him in the Trial was genocide—namely, murdering “over 60,000 people” during the revolution in Timișoara.

THE ANCIENT HUMAN SPECIES

The Ancient Human species

When did the first human’s evolve ?, What was the first species of humans ?. All these are real interesting questions. Let’s dive deep to find the answers!

Every Animal has its own Species. Species are a group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding.

For example, Dog’s are of the species Canis lupus familiaris.

We Humans used to think that we were unique and had no such species and types.

But this was pure ignorance from our side.
Yuval Noah Harari in his Book titled “SAPIENS” quoted-

Just 6 million years ago, a single female ape had two daughters. One became the ancestor of all chimpanzees, the other is our own grandmother.

After some periods of evolution The First Ancestors of Humans evolved about 2.5 million years ago from an earlier genus of apes called Australopithecus which literally means “Southern Ape”

Different Types Of Humans lived throughout History.

It is said that there were 14 species of Humans on earth.

Only one remains now, which is us Humans,ie-Homo Sapiens.

When did the first humans evolve?

The first humans evolved around 7 million years ago. Most of them were least similar to us homo sapiens which is shown below.

What was the first species of humans ?

The first species of humans were Homo Habilis . They were the least similar to us Homo Sapiens, Homo Habilis also had ape like figures and had long arms.

Now Let’s look about 5 major types of  the different type of humans that lived on Earth-

1.HOMO ERECTUS

This Human species was said to be the first recognizable human species to walk on earth 2 million years ago.

This human species is also said to be the first to move out of Africa.

They also were the first human species to make rafts to cross over water bodies and also said to have the ability to cook food before eating.

This species is said to have reigned for 2 million years!. Most probably us homo sapiens cant break this record.

Homo sapiens. Homo antecessor. Homo erectus. Homo ergaster. Homo floresiensis. Homo habilis. Homo heidelbergensis. Homo luzonensis.,species human

Homo Erectus.An Image.Credits-

2.HOMO SOLOENSIS

Homo Soloensis is a subspecies of Homo erectus which lived along the Solo River in Java, Indonesia, about 117 thousand years ago.

3.HOMO FLORESIENSIS-

Homo floresiensis a.k.a “hobbit” is a species of small archaic human that inhabited the island Indonesia until the arrival of modern humans about 50,000 years ago.

They weighed no more than 25kg and did not exceed 1 meters in height.

They most likely were wiped off earth due to Volcano eruptions.

4.HOMO HABILIS,

As said above Homo Habilis were the least similar to Homo  Sapiens,Homo Habilis had ape like figures and had long arms

5.NEANDERTHALS

the most famous of all human species(other than us homo sapiens of course)

If you have watched the intro theme song of The Big Bang Theory,You must have surely heard this-

Our whole universe was in a hot, dense state
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started, wait
The earth began to cool, the autotrophs began to drool
Neanderthals developed tools
We built a wall (we built the pyramids)
Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries
That all started with the big bang! Hey!

Yes they had large brains to make tools

Homo sapiens and Neanderthals almost looked the same, If you would put a Neanderthal dressed in homo sapiens clothes and put them on a street full of people, Chances are the people would not even bat an eye on it!

Neanderthals thrived in Europe from 350,000 to about
 40,000 years ago.Smithsonian Institution

It was also later discovered that homo sapiens mated with Neanderthals.

And many Humans now have some percentage of D.N.A of Neanderthals with them.

An ancient Human’s D.N.A showed that it contained 10% Neanderthal D.N.A mixed in it.

They also had large brain’s and were intelligent.

But they eventually died out roughly 40000 years ago.Their cause of death is still unknown,

Either due to replacement theory or interbreeding theory.

As Yuval Noah Harari in his Book “SAPIENS” mentioned, If Neanderthals were alive, would they have the same rights as of homo sapiens?

That’s a question to ponder on for a long time!

RASPUTIN-Russia’s Biggest Love Machine

RASPUTIN,RUSSIA’S BIGGEST LOVE MACHINE

There lived a certain man in Russia long ago

He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear
He could preach the Bible like a preacher
Full of ecstasy and fire
But he also was the kind of teacher
Women would desire

Ra ra Rasputin
Lover of the Russian queen
There was a cat that really was gone
Ra ra Rasputin
Russia’s greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on

The above lyrics got so famous on tik-tok,But do we really know who Grigori rasputin a.k.a Rasputin the Love Machine is?

                                                                    IMAGE-https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rasputin_PA.jpg

THE ORIGIN OF RASPUTIN A.K.A THE LOVE MACHINE

Rasputin the love machine was born in Siberia in 1869 to a peasant family.

Later on in his life Rasputin was inspired by the monks and soon Rasputin became one. On his travels he visited a lot of places and the natives of the places Rasputin visited used to be mesmerized by Rasputin’s magical presence.

But Rasputin the love machine was simply a thief and an alcoholic.

As written earlier, people were often mesmerized by Rasputin’s personality and his looks so much that he finally found a place in St. Petersburg where Rasputin used his charisma to find a place in the palace.

The Russian Tsar Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra were orthodox Christians. They both were also superstitious and believed in mysticism.

Hence it was easier for Rasputin to find a top spot in the palace.

Rasputin the Love Machine cemented his place in the top because of one incident. Two things caused headaches to the palace- One was the crippling monarchy. The Tsar knew that the monarchy could be replaced by the revolutionaries if he was not careful.

The other problem he faced was with his son, who also was next in line for the throne-Alexia.

Alexia had contracted a disease named hemophilia and was being treated by the doctors day in and out. But Rasputin who was already in a good spot in the palace advised the Tsar to reject the medicine used to treat Alexia. The Tsar obliged and soon the doctors were removed.

After a few days Alexia showed some considerable Improvement in his health and everyone thought it was due to the advice of Rasputin along with his magical powers that cured Alexia.

But recent studies and findings showed that the doctors at that time used aspirin on hemophilia patients which actually increased the chances of death in hemophilia patients. Hence, The reason Alexia got cured was because Aspirin treatment was stopped.

But people at that time credited it to Rasputin’s Mysterious powers.

Rasputin also made a prophecy later in which he said that if he was killed, Alexia would die and the monarchy would be dead.

rasputin love machine

Soon Rasputin reached a high point where it was almost impossible to remove him from the palace.

This caused both support and distress by the citizens.

Rasputin was well received by the poor peasants as they felt they came from him, While the nobilities hated him for his more-than-necessary influence in the palace.

THE PLOT TO KILL RASPUTIN

Felix Yusopov was one of the people who despised Rasputin and wanted to assassinate him and started making plans to kill Rasputin.

Some attempts done to assassinate him already failed. One was when Felix Yusopov stuffed cyanide into some pastries which were to be eaten by Rasputin.

But one of the co-helpers of Felix Yusopov had a change of heart and replaced the cyanide with some harmless material.

When Felix Yusopov saw Rasputin relishing the pastries without any sense of uneasiness, Felix Yusopov got desperate and took out his gun and shot Rasputin at point blank.

Yet Rasputin recovered, hit all the people around him and ran off. Soon Felix Yusopov and his team hunted Rasputin down, Shot him and threw his body in the Neva river.

Just as Rasputin prophesied ,The Tsar lost his throne and his son never became a king. Monarchy got crushed by the revolution.

But was it due to Rasputin the love machines prophecy or was it because of the long political battle by the monarchy and the revolutionaries?

We may never know!

SUMMARY FOR TL;DR

RASPUTIN THE LOVE MACHINE

Grigori Rasputin is a popular person, the Russian Mystic and the close aide of the Tsarina Alexandra, who believed that Rasputin could cure her son. Which he kind of did but nobody knew how. With that Rasputin had the royalty in his hand.

Tsar Nicholas never went against his wife’s wishes. So when she insisted on taking advice from Rasputin, Tsar did so.

And that led to the inexperienced Tsar leading the weak Russia into the WW1.

When the Tsar was away it was Rasputin who ran the country, he dismissed all the nobility and appointed people close to him.

It made the public hate the royalty even more, who was already losing power. Rasputin just sped up the whole Russian revolution and the rise of the Bolsheviks.

Read about the most cruel Nazi here-THE ANGEL OF DEATH

Rasputin was shot dead on December 30 1916. After his death the revolutionaries dethroned the royals and expelled them to Siberia where they were eventually killed.

The weakened economy of Russia after the war was one of the main reasons for the revolution had not Russia lost the war or was having a good economy things would have been different.

February 1933-

The Reichstag Fire-

The Reichstag fire was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, home of the German parliament in Berlin, on Monday 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany.

Hitler blamed it on the communists and persuaded the president to suspend civil rights(yes the president had such a huge power)to maintain stability.

On March, The Nazis accumulate 44% of the Votes, Not enough to form a government, But they became the largest voted party.

With Coalitions, They form the Government.

March 1933-

THE ENABLING ACT

The Enabling Act allowed the Reich government to issue laws without the consent of Germany’s parliament, laying the foundation for the complete Nazification of German society.

July 1933-

On 14 July 1933 Germany became a one-party state decreeing the Nazi Party to be the sole legal party in Germany.

All other parties were made illegal. This was the point where Hitler held all the powers.

This was the point Germany fell under Dictatorship.

What followed were the greatest crimes in Modern Human History.

You can Never take Neitczhe out of Nazism

You can now also listen to this article on Spotify above!

You can take Nazism out of Neitczhe, but you can never take Neitczhe out of Nazism.

Dheeraj Mohan

It isn’t that surprising that the German philosopher influenced the Nazis because he has influenced the whole world but none more than the Nazis, who believed that the Aryan race was the Ubermensch described by Neitczhe.

Neitczhe never was a Nazi and neither did he share their ideology

He wasn’t even a nihilist as many believe him to be. He merely believed that Nihilism was a point in the journey to become the Ubermensch or the Supermen.

He believed that the men of the future would be able to make thier own morals and will not be controlled by dead ideals. His famous claim “God is dead” says that the people who have killed the god have broken their chains and have become higher beings. People who are aware of what was.

The Nazis in contradiction believed the very German people were the Ubermensch and thus wanted to create a world of their own “Supermen”.

It shows how a harmless philosophy can be bent into dogmas by individuals.

Neitczhe on the other hand died in solitude and become acknowledged only after his death.

TEDDY BEAR AND THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT

TEDDY BEAR AND THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT

The ‘teddy bear’ is named after U.S. President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt.

Theodore Roosevelt Jr., often referred to as Teddy or his initials T. R., was an American statesman, conservationist, naturalist, historian, and writer, who served as the 26th  President of the United States from 1901 to 1909.

Roosevelt was also the first President to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

In 1902, President Roosevelt participated in a bear-hunting trip in Mississippi. During the
trip, the guides clubbed a bear and tied it to a tree then invited the president to shoot it.

Instead of shooting the tied bear, Roosevelt  declared the behavior of the other hunters “unsportsmanlike” and refused to shoot the bear. The news of “The President not shooting the bear’ became a senstional news and spread across the country.

Many newspapers around the country featured political cartoons starring “Teddy” and “the bear.”
Image-The Washington Post which shows the incident with a small title-“Drawing the lines in Mississippi”

This news reached to a shop owner named Morris Michtom in New York who saw one of the cartoons and had an idea. Michtom and his wife created soft and plush stuffed bears and placed them in the front window of their shop.

With the permission from Roosevelt, Michtom named the bears “Teddy bears.” Hence came the name “Teddy Bears”.They went on to become a massive success.

Roosevelt also used the “teddy bear” icon in his re-election campaigns.

Propaganda Posters used By Nazis

1 minute read.

The Propaganda used by the German Nazi Germany in the years leading up to and during Adolf Hitler’s  leadership of Germany (1933–1945) was a crucial instrument for acquiring and maintaining power, and for the implementation of Nazi Policies.

The Nazis effectively used propaganda to win the support of millions of Germans in a democracy and, later in a dictatorship, to facilitate persecution, war, and ultimately genocide. The stereotypes and images found in Nazi propaganda were not new, but were already familiar to their intended audience.

Here are some gruesome posters made by Nazis for flooding out propaganda to seed hatred towards people other than “Aryans”-

This poster from a eugenics exhibition in the 1930s reads, “Sterilization is Liberation, Not a Punishment.” Three handicapped children are also pictured with the caption, “Who would want to be responsible for this?”

60,000 Reich marks. What this person suffering from is hereditary defects costs the People’s community during his lifetime. Comrade, that is your money too.

Nazi propaganda slide contrasting how far 5.50 German Marks will go. The cost of feeding one person with a hereditary disease for one day is the same as it would cost to feed an entire family of healthy Germans.

A poster showing the belief that the “inferiority traits” are passed on more easily than “high value traits”.

One thing that shudders me the most is these posters are not even a century old.

Lets hope these type of cruelty never happen again.

The Greatest Human Being Of the 20th Century

Many still consider Gandhi only cared for Indians.

Gandhi actually cared for everyone.

Gandhi was the one who lead the Non-Cooperation and Civil Disobedience Movement.

During This time huge heaps of clothes manufactured by Brithisher’s were burned.

And Lanchshire was the site of the world’s premier cotton-goods industry. The weaving towns of the region had flourished through trade aided by British Empire ensuring a ready supply of cheap, raw cotton.

Hence Gandhi went to Britain to visit the mills and apologize to the workers.

The British Weavers never let him Apologize and actually supported the boycott of British woven clothes.

The Darwen News, September 26, 1931 Quoted-

A crowd numbering three to four thousand people assembled at Darwen Station … when the train was heard to be entering the station, there was babel of eager voices, and every eye was focused on the station exit, but hopes were quickly dashed to the ground and the crowd was greatly disappointed when the first passenger to see the gathering shouted, “You all can go home. He got off at Spring Vale”.

Image- Gandhi Jayanti 2018: “‘Three cheers for Mr Gandeye, hip, hip … Hurrah!’, shouted the crowd, and then again and once more, for the third and loudest time…”

Gandhi is not only for India a hero of national history, whose legendary memory will be enshrined in the millennial epoch. -Gandhi has renewed, for all the peoples of the West, the message of their Christ, forgotten or betrayed.
-Romain Rolland

Gandhi cared for everyone.

He is the greatest human being of the 21st Century.

Your Sincere Friend,Gandhi

Image-Gandhi on the left,Hitler on the right

Gandhi wrote  2 letters to Hitler and Hitler never replied to them simply because he never got any of them in the first place

Both the letters were intercepted by the Britishers.

It would have been interesting to know what would happen if Hitler would have read the 2 letters written by Gandhi.

Following are the two letter written by Gandhi to Hitler-

Letter to Adolf Hitler, 1939

As AT WARDHA,
C.P.,
INDIA,
July 23, 1939

DEAR FRIEND,

Friends have been urging me to write to you for the sake of humanity. But I have resisted their request, because of the feeling that any letter from me would be an impertinence. Something tells me that I must not calculate and that I must make my appeal for whatever it may be worth. It is quite clear that you are today the one person in the world who can prevent a war which may reduce humanity to the savage state. Must you pay that price for an object however worthy it may appear to you to be? Will you listen to the appeal of one who has deliberately shunned the method of war not without considerable success? Anyway I anticipate your forgiveness, if I have erred in writing to you.

I remain,

Your sincere friend,

HERR HITLER

BERLIN GERMANY

Letter to Adolf Hitler, 1940

WARDHA,

December 24, 1940

DEAR FRIEND,

That I address you as a friend is no formality. I own no foes. My business in life has been for the past 33 years to enlist the friendship of the whole of humanity by befriending mankind, irrespective of race, colour or creed.

I hope you will have the time and desire to know how a good portion of humanity who have been living under the influence of that doctrine of universal friendship view your action.

We have no doubt about your bravery or devotion to your fatherland, nor do we believe that you are the monster described by your opponents. But your own writings and pronouncements and those of your friends and admirers leave no room for doubt that many of your acts are monstrous and unbecoming of human dignity, especially in the estimation of men like me who believe in universal friendliness. Such are your humiliation of Czechoslovakia, the rape of Poland and the swallowing of Denmark.

I am aware that your view of life regards such spoliations as virtuous acts. But we have been taught from childhood to regard them as acts degrading humanity. Hence we cannot possibly wish success to your arms. But ours is a unique position. We resist British Imperialism no less than Nazism. If there is a difference, it is in degree.

One-fifth of the human race has been brought under the British heel by means that will not bear scrutiny. Our resistance to it does not mean harm to the British people. We seek to convert them, not to defeat them on the battle-field. Ours is an unarmed revolt against the British rule. But whether we convert them or not, we are determined to make their rule impossible by non-violent non-co-operation. It is a method in its nature indefensible. It is based on the knowledge that no spoliator can compass his end without a certain degree of co-operation, willing or compulsory, of the victim.

Our rulers may have our land and bodies but not our souls. They can have the former only by complete destruction of every Indian-man, woman and child. That all may not rise to that degree of heroism and that a fair amount of frightfulness can bend the back of revolt is true but the argument would be beside the point. For, if a fair number of men and women be found in India who would be prepared without any ill will against the spoliators to lay down their lives rather than bend the knee to them, they would have shown the way to freedom from the tyranny of violence.

I ask you to believe me when I say that you will find an unexpected number of such men and women in India. They have been having that training for the past 20 years. We have been trying for the past half a century to throw off the British rule. The movement of independence has been never so strong as now. The most powerful political organization, I mean the Indian National Congress, is trying to achieve this end. We have attained a very fair measure of success through nonviolent effort. We were groping for the right means to combat the most organized violence in the world which the British power represents. You have challenged it. It remains to be seen which is the better organized, the German or the British.

We know what the British heel means for us and the non-European races of the world. But we would never wish to end the British rule with German aid. We have found in non-violence a force which, if organized, can without doubt match itself against a combination of all the most violent forces in the world. In nonviolent technique, as I have said, there is no such thing as defeat. It is all ‘do or die’ without killing or hurting. It can be used practically without money and obviously without the aid of science of destruction which you have brought to such perfection. It is a marvel to me that you do not see that it is nobody’s monopoly. If not the British, some other power will certainly improve upon your method and beat you with your own weapon. You are leaving no legacy to your people of which they would feel proud. They cannot take pride in a recital of cruel deed, however skilfully planned. I, therefore, appeal to you in the name of humanity to stop the war.

You will lose nothing by referring all the matters of dispute between you and Great Britain to an international tribunal of your joint choice. If you attain success in the war, it will not prove that you were in the right. It will only prove that your power of destruction was greater. Whereas an award by an impartial tribunal will show as far as it is humanly possible which party was in the right. You know that not long ago I made an appeal to every Briton to accept my method of non-violent resistance. I did it because the British know me as a friend though a rebel. I am a stranger to you and your people. I have not the courage to make you the appeal I made to every Briton. Not that it would not apply to you with the same force as to the British.

But my present proposal is much simple because much more practical and familiar. During this season when the hearts of the peoples of Europe yearn for peace, we have suspended even our own peaceful struggle. Is it too much to ask you to make an effort for peace during a time which may mean nothing to you personally but which must mean much to the millions of Europeans whose dumb cry for peace I hear, for my ears are attuned to hearing the dumb millions? I had intended to address a joint appeal to you and Signor Mussolini, whom I had the privilege of meeting when I was in Rome during my visit to England as a delegate to the Round Table Conference. I hope that he will take this as addressed to him also with the necessary changes.

I am,

Your sincere friend,

M.K. GANDHI

MUST READ BOOKS

 1.MY EXPERIMENTS WITH TRUTH.

Mahatma Gandhi, as he is known by his followers with reverence, preached the philosophy of non-violence which has become even more relevant today. His commitment to non-violence and satyagraha (peaceful resistance) gave hope to marginalized sections of India.

In his own words,

“It is not my purpose to attempt a real autobiography. I simply want to tell the story of mynumerous experiments with truth, and as my life consists of nothing but those experiments, it is true that the story will take the shape of an autobiography. […] Identification with everything that lives is impossible without self-purification; without selfpurification, the observance of the law of Ahimsa must remain an empty dream; God can never be realised by one who is not pure of heart. Self-purification, therefore, must mean purification in all walks of life. And purification being highly infectious, purification of oneself necessarily leads to the purification of one’s surroundings. But the path to self-purification is hard and steep. To attain perfect purity, one has to become absolutely passion-free in thought, speech and action; to rise above the opposing currents of love and hatred, attachment and repulsion. I know that I have not in me as yet the triple purity, in spite of constant ceaseless striving for it. That is why the world’s praise fails to move me; indeed it very often stings me. To conquer the subtle passions seems to me far harder than the physical conquest of the world by the force of arms. Ever since my return to India, I have had experiences of the dormant passions lying hidden within me. The knowledge of them has made me feel humiliated though not defeated. The experiences and experiments have sustained me and given me great joy. But I know I still have before me a difficult path to traverse. I must reduce myself to zero. So long as a man does not of his own free will put himself last among his fellow creatures, there is no salvation for him. Ahimsa is the farthest limit of humility. — Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

This book changed my view towards him and on some extent towards life too.

I used to think Gandhi was just another over rated guy in town.Reading this book destroyed my earlier perception I had on him.

No wonder Einstein said –

Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.

2. INDIA AFTER GANDHI.

“If you do not know where you come from, then you don’t know where you are, and if you don’t know where you are, then you don’t know where you’re going. And if you don’t know where you’re going, you’re probably going wrong.

— Terry Pratchett”

This is the perfect travelling companion for anyone who wishes to understand this great country. India has 1.2 billion people, 22 official languages, a mixture of religions.

When Churchill said this-

“India is merely a geographical expression. It is no more a single country than the Equator.”

Everyone thought India would be divided after the british left. But it remained intact.

Well how did a country having the most diverse states did not divide and collapse under its own weight?

Read this book to find out.

Luftwaffe and The Big Ben

Recently while reading Yuval Noah Harari’s  Sapiens I found an interesting excrept from it.

During World War Two, BBC News was broadcast to Nazi-occupied Europe. Each news programme opened with a live broadcast of The Big Ben tolling the hour — the magical sound of freedom.

The Genius German physicists found a way to determine the weather conditions in London based on tiny differences in the tone of the broadcast ding-dongs.

Image-The most famous clock, The Big Ben.

This information offered invaluable help to the Luftwaffe.

Luftwaffe is a generic German term for an air force. It was also the official name for the Nazi air force founded in 1935. Led by Hermann Goering, it became the largest and most powerful in Europe by the start of World War Two.

Image-The Luftwaffe soaring above the grounds during WW2.

The Luftwaffe could now use the information of the weather in London to make valuable decisions in the war.

When the British Secret Service discovered this, they replaced the live broadcast with a set recording of the famous clock.

The World War 2 was not only fought physical grounds, but also on mental grounds too.

Unrelated- Check out Sapiens,Its undoubtedly the best book I have come across. The book set I bought (Sapiens and Homo Deus) at a low price is available at  Amazon.Do check it out.

AVOIDING DICTATORSHIPS.

Russian President Stalin once brought a chicken to the Russian Parliament and started plucking out it’s feather’s one at a time.

The chicken was crying out in pain and agony.

After Stalin completely plucked out the poor chicken’s feather’s, He threw it down and threw some grains on the floor.

The chicken slowly pecked the grains thrown at it one by one.

After some time, Stalin took out some grains from his pocket and to the surprise of everyone the chicken started pecking the grains which Stalin held in his hands and it began to follow him around the room.

Those were the same hand’s which inflicted the unimaginable pain on the chicken.

Stalin then turned to the people and said, “People are like this chicken. It doesn’t matter how much pain you inflict on them. The moment you offer them what they need, they will still follow you and turn to you for their survival.”

So, What’s the lesson one should definitely learn from this anecdote?

Don’t be fooled by the same person twice.

This short story is applicable to politician’s too, On how they inflict pain on the citizens and at the end throw some freebies to the citizen’s.

And these citizen’s forget about the pain inflicted previously and re-elect them again.

So don’t be that citizen. .Don’t be a part of the mob. Try to think on your own feet.

When we cultivate these habit’s we truly develop a country and be a true patriot.

Because patriotism is supporting your country all the time and the government when it deserves it.

By thinking properly we can avoid dictatorship’s like Stalin or Hitler. The citizen’s never saw what was coming until it was too late.

(The anecdote may or may not be true, What matter’s is the value it provides.)

SIMILARITIES BETWEEN GANDHI AND HITLER

 Similarities between Gandhi and Hitler.

 Strict Vegetarian’s.

Gandhi was a vegetarian, So was Adolf Hitler.

Gandhi believed vegetarianism was a part of his commitment to ahimsa, the cornerstone of his politics. Eating meat meant doing violence to animals, who, he believed, had spirits and souls.

Hitler identified himself as a strict vegetarian .Hitler was a vegetarian because of his concern for animal suffering, noting that he was often distressed by images of animal cruelty and sufferings.

Hitler once said -“One thing I can predict to eaters of meat: the world of the future will be vegetarian.”

Image- Gandhi having some food with several others

Image- Hitler having some food with his fellow Nazi’s

Death by bullet’s.

Gandhi died due to gunshot’s from his assassin ,Hitler too died by gun (suicide).

Gandhi died on 30 January 1948 in New Delhi assassinated by Nathuram Godse, 3 years after the death of Hitler.

Hitler died on 30 April 1945 at his bunker in Berlin, Germany.

They both died on the same decade.

Love for Animals.

Gandhi was against the ill treatment done on animals. Gandhi said that “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”

Nazi Germany under Germany was the first state in the world to place the wolf under protection. Hitler is said to have loved his dog Blondi more than his mistress Eva Braun.

Voracious Readers.

Gandhi read a lot of book’s and he himself as authored some too.

Books Read by Gandhi

Hitler too read ton’s of books. In 1945 the Allied found around 16,000 which were thought to be Hitler’s property.

Hitler’s Intelligence

Image- Hitler at his Library.

Both had a share of similarities.

But one went on to be regarded as the greatest human being to have ever lived.

Einstein on Gandhi-

‘Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth’

While the other went on to become one of the most cruel human being of all time.

GODWIN’S LAW AND HITLER

 GODWIN’S LAW

Godwin’s Law is an internet adage asserting that

“As an online discussion grows longer, The probability of comparison involving Nazis or Adolf Hitler approaches the probability of 1”

In simple terms,”if you mention Adolf Hitler or Nazis within a discussion thread, you’ve automatically ended whatever discussion you were taking part in.”

As you can see in the above picture as the time of the internet discussion increases, The probability of a Hitler reference is very close to being fully possible!

ORIGIN OF GODWIN’S LAW-

The Godwin’s Law was formulated by the American attorney and author Mike Godwin in 1990.

Mike Godwin initially refered it to Usenet NewsGroup Discussions.(For those who don’t Know What Usernet is,It is simply a forum almost similar to reddit)

Read About Hitler and his relationship with his dog blondi here-.Hitler and Blondi

Fun Fact:In 2012,The Term “Godwin’s Law” was added to the Oxford Dictionary.

So,Is the Godwin’s Law True?,I found out Mike Godwin’s answer which was published on 2014,It was as Follows-

Although Godwin’s Law is framed as a probability statement, its purpose is to make people think twice before following the rhetorical line of least resistance and escalating their arguments to comparisons that trivialize the impact of the Nazis and the Holocaust. In short, its purpose is to trigger (insistently) a reader’s historical awareness and perspective, especially in contexts where perspective has otherwise been lost. So why frame it as a kind of statistical or natural law? Because the kinds of people who reflexively bring up Hitler or Nazis in order to trash the argument or opponent du jour hate to discover that they’re merely instantiating a lazy intellectual tendency so common that it seems like a natural law — they would rather think of themselves as free-willed, independent thinkers.

Listen to any free Audiobook here-Free Audiobook by Audible

Below is a a chart which shows the probability of using a Hitler reference increases as the number of comments increases on any sub-reddit.

Isn’t that pretty interesting?!

So the next time you see an internet discussion going way too long and deep expect a Hitler reference real soon!

HITLER AND HIS DOG BLONDI

 HITLER AND HIS DOG BLONDI

Hitler was informed that the soviets are fast approaching to their area. Since then he made plans to kill himself .He didn’t want to leave the dog alive to the soviets.

Hitler’s Death,Stalin and Käthe Heusermann

While we often talk about many characters in the WW2,There are some people like Käthe Heusermann who requires some light into her life.Let us try to know more about Käthe Heusermann so that she never falls behind the shadows and be lost on history forever.

1945,May 1.

The battle by the Soviet’s is bearing fruits, They have almost succeeded in capturing Berlin as the Germans have still not surrendered.

Soon they reach the Fuhrer’s bunker ,Their main goal was to capture Hitler himself. USSR knew Hitler was the main fish to catch.

But the soldiers of the Soviet Union could see just 6 Children’s dead bodies.

Dead Bodies of 5 little girls and a small Boy. They were  the children of Joseph Goebbels ,the  Nazi Propaganda Minister.

Soon Goebbels body was also found.

But Where was Hitler’s body?

Hitler’s body was burned already due to Petrol. Only the teeth became the most important way to identify the remains. It was almost impossible to recognize Hitler’s body

But 2 woman made it possible to identify Hitler’s remains.

One was Elena Kagan who was a Russian Jew .(She later changed her name to Elena Rzhevskaya)

She was appointed by the Soviets for her skills with the German language.

Hitler’s gold bridge and lower jaw were put in a box and given to Elena for safekeeping mostly because she was trustworthy.

Adolf Hitler’s teeth. (Russian State Archives)

Elena Rzhevskaya was just 25 years old in  1945 when she carried a box of the Nazi dictator’s teeth around war-torn Berlin in search of an expert who could confirm that the teeth had belonged to Hitler.

The team comprising of USSR officers and Elena herself tracked down Hitler’s personal dentist, Dr. Hugo Blaschke and his assistant, Käthe Heusermann.

Hitler’s persona dentist Hugo Blaschke was not available at that time,So Kathe Heusermann was interviewed many times because she was present at all times when Hitler visited the clinic.

She was able to identify Hitler from his teeth because he had had extensive dental work.

(By the end of his life, Hitler had very few of his own teeth left, and most of them had crowns. The remaining teeth were prosthetic and were held together with bridges.)

She was made to draw the sketch on how Hitler’s teeth looked.

And Guess What?

The drawings perfectly matched to the tooth remains Elena had.

Stalin  never disclosed the death of Hitler to the Allies.

He never disclosed it because he never trusted the West in the first place.

Moreover, A secret is always advantageous. Stalin knew what other major leaders of the globe at that time did not know.

And hence Soviet leader Joseph Stalin decided that Hitler’s suicide and the story about how his body was discovered should be a military secret.

In Elena Rzhevskaya memoirs, she writes: “I was absolutely convinced that we, along with all gathered information and key witnesses, will be sent to Moscow”. “I was sure that in a few days, the whole world will know that we had found Hitler’s corpse”.

However, Stalin decided otherwise. Viktor Abakumov, the chief of SMERSH, later told Gorbushin that Stalin became familiar with the circumstances of the case and decided not to publicize anything. “We remain in capitalist encirclement,” he stated. Rzhevskaya and the other collaborators were told by Gorbushin: “Forget what you just heard”.

Read About Hitler and his love for Blondi the dog.

Hence Käthe Heusermann was deported to the Soviet Union in July, 1945, and after interrogation in Lubyanka and Lefortovo prisons, she was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.

According to the decision of the court: “… by her participation in Hitler’s dental treatment, she voluntarily helped a bourgeois state prolong the war“.

Käthe Heusermann was sent to the gulag, where she spent 10 years, including six years in solitary confinement.

Why was she sent to the Gulags?

Her fault was that she was a witness of Hitler’s death and that was a secret. As written above ,Stalin did not want the truth that Hitler died to be let out in the world.

The Soviets also told her that by helping to fix Hitler’s teeth she contributed to the continuation of the war, and that she should have hit him on the head with a bottle.

But the reason for sending Käthe Heusermann to the Gulags was,as written above, The secret should be protected at all costs.

The Gulag life was a hell for Käthe Heusermann like everyone else.

She was loaded into a cattle truck for the 2,800-mile trip to a labor camp in central Siberia.

Years in solitary made Käthe Heusermann too weak to meet her work quota and therefore her food rations were cut. She got food only during the mid-days.

Käthe Heusermann barely survived.

By 1955, Stalin had died and West Germany negotiated the return of

German prisoners.Käthe Heusermann went home to

 Berlin.

Her soldier fiancé had married in her absence. She went back into dentistry and died in 1993.

Käthe Heusermann

Elena Rzhevskaya published several books about her wartime experiences. But it took her 50 years of research in the USSR’s secret archives to uncover the monstrous truth of what her nation had done to her star witness — Käthe Heusermann and to reveal that Stalin had deliberately hidden the proof of Hitler’s death.

Elena in her book Memoirs of a Wartime Interpreter: From the Battle for Moscow to Hitler’s Bunker quotes “If we had not found Käthe … Hitler, as Stalin wanted, would have remained a myth and a mystery,” .“But what suffering we had unwittingly doomed Käthe Heusermann to endure.”

Read about how French Revolution is still relevant

Käthe Heusermann had to suffer for years in prison,Lost her Husband and almost died in the Gulags.

On the other hand Elena Rzhevskaya resided in Moscow where she continued her career as a writer. She was allowed to publish her memoirs in the 1960s. In 2018 Greenhill Books published the first English language edition of her memoirs.

She died on 25 April 2017, aged 97.

Visha Kanya and Chanakya

In ancient India,Lust was used to kill people who were going for wars.
The blood of Visha Kanya was poisonous to others. But it does not affect them.
The story goes that young girls were raised on a carefully crafted diet of poison and antidote from a very young age, a practice referred to as mithridatism
Although many would not survive, those that did were immune to other poisons and their body fluids would be poisonous to others; sexual contact would thus be lethal to other humans.

There also exists a myth that says a Visha Kanya can cause instant death with just a touch.

THE MOST CRUEL NAZI

Josef Mengele, most (in)famously known as the Angel Of Death.

Disturbing Content Ahead. Viewer Discretion is Advised.

Josef Mengele used the Auschwitz camp for his medical experiments and Auschwitz was fairly a good place for him, considering its location and railways which had a stop there from all directions of Europe.

The scariest part was that he loved this job more than anything else.

On the first day of his visit, He sent 1035 Gypsies directly to the Gas Chambers. He also saw the new arrivals at the camp and almost 80 percent of them were killed immediately after their arrival.

“Selection” of Hungarian Jews on the ramp at Birkenau , May/June 1944.

On Important Jewish Days he would send 1000’s of Jews to be gasses just to satisfy his sadistic pleasure. All children below the age of 14 as well as the old were killed instantly under the demand of Mengele.

He was reported to have said the following words- “Here the Jews enter through the doors and leave trough the chimneys”

He also had the passion for scientific research and loved to do experiments on the prisoners of Auschwitz. He ordered his guards to find people who were midgets, deformed, lame etc.

However the most prized objects he considered were twins (especially if they were children). From his earliest days in his institution he had an obsession for twins. He believed that by studying twins he could discover the secrets to genetic manipulations.

It is said that he would often stand near the railways to lookout for twins among the new arrivals to the camps. At his time in Auschwitz he managed to find almost 1500 pairs of twins that were used for experiments, Out of this 1500 pairs, Only a 100 Pairs survived.

The newly arrived twins would be marched to the living quarters at Birkenau about 2 miles from the camp. There they lived in a very gruesome and horrendous conditions surrounded by starving people and rotting corpses.

After a while the were made to answer some questions regarding their name ethnic background as well as any health problems. These children then would be personally interviewed by Mengele himself would often take notes on what they had to say and he also kept a unique file for each of the children.

For the experimentation the children were bathed and dressed properly in pajamas and then taken to one of Mengele’s research laboratories. Here basic tests such as x-rays were taken (At this stage he made sure no child was mistreated and often was given sweets and talked reassuringly. This was done to gain the trust of the Children.

Image-Jewish twins kept alive in Auschwitz for use in Mengele’s medical experiments. The Red Army liberated these children in January 1945.

In other labs, experiments were taking place and no anesthesia was even given to the children. The pain inflicted on them were unimaginable (some experiments included removal of limbs, injecting dyes to the eyes, sterilization of girls and castration of boys without anesthesia.)

One Victim Quoted-“Mengele once supervised an operation where two gypsy twins were sewn together to make Siamese twins. Their hands became badly infected where the veins had been resected.”

Another surviving teen said-

“In another experiment pair of them and more than 100 other twins were given injections of bacteria that cause Noma disease – an infection of the mouth or genitals, which causes boils and often turns gangrenous. Some twins became feverish, and some died.”

Image-Child prisoners at Auschwitz, photographed on the orders of Josef Mengele

He also conducted the cruel endurance test. In this the child would be subjected to high voltage electricity until they passed out unconscious went into comma or died.

As soon as one of the twins dies, the other twin would be immediately killed in order to provide comparative data for study.

Pregnant ladies were often gassed in the chambers, On some occasions he personally delivered the babies only later to send them- both mother and child to be gassed.

On some occasions he would deliver the baby and tape the mothers breasts so that she couldn’t feed her baby and would helplessly cry while her baby slowly died of starvation.

Image-The photos on the left and in the centre show Mengele in 1938, the picture on the right was taken in 1956.

Just when you think how can a human go to more extreme cruelty, Mengele created more depressing and cruel method to kill children. Mengele once dug a pit at Birkenau and lit a fire and made 300 children (all under the age of 5) to be thrown into the pit.

What’s more scary is that unlike other Nazi’s, He did not drug himself using alcohol or any other substances to perform such horrendous crimes. He was conscious while performing such inhumane acts. (He was reported to be enthusiastic to afflict these cruel deeds.)

There is no scientific explanation for any of this horrendous crimes he did in the name of Science. Some doctors who assisted Mengele with these experiments later recalled that he did this out of pure sadism.

The most depressing part I feel is that he got to live out his life in peace in Brazil. Mengele is (in my opinion),The most cruel of all the Nazi’s and he literally got the easiest way out at the end and lived a good life in his terms.

Even if he was caught what would be the punishment which could be given to him that can be compared to all the horrendous crimes he did?

THE RISE OF HITLER TO POWER-A TIMELINE

Hitler Rise To Power Timeline

Hitler was just another unknown ordinary person in Germany in the 1920’s.Fast forward to 10 years, He became a full blown Dictator.

The Rise Of Hitler was slow and steady and was not an overnight receiving of power.

This Article has been divided into two Parts.

Part 1 between 1919 to 1923.

Part 2 between 1924 to 1933.

PART ONE (The Initial Rise to Power)

1919-

Germany looses WW1. Germany lost 3 million Germans due to the war. The country was forced to be a republic instead of a monarchy. The Germans could barely even see through the shambles the country was now in.

What was more humiliating was the Treaty Of Versailles not only blamed Germany for the war, But also demanded a heavy sum in the form of reparations (132 billion gold marks, or about $269 billion today.)

As I mentioned earlier, Germany was turned down into a Republic. This gave extreme powers to the president.

Hitler was serving the Army at this point of time .His current job was to spy the Germans Workers Party. Soon He becomes interested in the party (Because it was Anti-Communist + Anti-Capitalist+ Anti-Jewish) and joins it.

1920-

Hitler is now becoming increasingly famous in the Party. Mostly because of his excellent oration skills.

The Party is now renamed to Nationalist German Workers Party (NSDAP) or more (in)famously known as the Nazi Party.

Hitler Designed the logo inspired from the auspicious Hindu sign, The Swastika.

1921-

Adolf Hitler is elected Vorsitzender (chairman) of the NSDAP with only one dissenting vote. NSDAP party membership was recorded at only 3,300.But soon it would rise manifold.

At this point of time,The Inflation of Germany Skyrocketed to trillions due to external and internal pressures.

Children made pyramids and played with the currency as it had no value to anyone.

WORLD READING DAY-MUST READ BOOKS

1922-

In the other side of Europe a new force in the name of Benito Mussolini emerged. Hitler gets inspired by Mussolini as he too was an extreme nationalist.

1923-

Inflation becomes so bad that the Government fails to pay reparations to the Allies.

On the 9 January 1923, in response to the lack of payment of reparations, France and Belgium invaded the Ruhr.

The Ruhr was a region of Germany which contained resources such as factories. The French and Belgians intended to use these resources to make up for the unpaid reparations.

This was a massive humiliation for the Germans.

The extreme right Nazi Party got a membership between 40000 to 55000.

As Of now Hitler gets hold of the feelings of the German anger, Gets inspired by Mussolini and see the Economy in Shambles.

This was the perfect moment for him to rise to power.

This was the initial rise of Hitler.

THE RISE OF HITLER (PART TWO)

1923-

The Beer Hall Putsch-

On November 8–9, 1923, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party led a coalition group in an attempt to overthrow the German government. The plotters hoped to march on Berlin to launch a national revolution.

But their plan failed miserably.

Early Nazis who participated in the attempt to seize power during the 1923 Putsch

1924-

Hitler was convicted of treason and sentenced to five years in prison. He spent less than a year behind bars, during which time he dictated “Mein Kampf,” his political autobiography.

The putsch was a massive failure but Hitler’s Trial turned him into a National Figure.

On 4th May, The NSDAP contests the Reichstag elections for the first time, winning a total of 24 seats. Not enough to be a powerful force, But it was good enough nonetheless.

1925-

Hitler declares the reformulation of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) with himself as leader (Führer). He makes the declaration at the Bürgerbräukeller in Munich, the beer hall where he led his aborted coup against the democratically elected government in 1923.

ALSO CHECK-LUFTWAFFE AND THE BIG BEN

1926-

By the beginning of 1926, Hitler had overcome any remaining rivals within the Nazi Party and assumed the title of supreme leader. Ideological differences and infighting between factions of the Nazi Party were resolved by Hitler through his considerable powers of personal oratory skills.

1927-

Official films for the rallies began in 1927, with the establishment of the NSDAP (Nazi Party) film office.

1928-

Nazi’s fail miserably in the elections by just tallying 12 seats.

End Of Nazism and Hitler?

You know it’s not.

1929-

Josef Goebbels is appointed head of the NSDAP propaganda department. Another Reichstag election sees a dramatic boost in NSDAP seats, from 14 to 107.

The Great Depression hits the Germans very hard.

Germans are extremely angry with the Government.

And as we know extreme ideology parties(left or right) grow in these conditions.

1930-

Nazi’s get 18% of the Votes in the 1930’s elections. Nazi’s start becoming a Power.

1932-

Nazis Fight hard, But Hidenburg Becomes the president again. But this time Hitler garnered almost 355 of the votes polled.

1933-

No government can be formed because of unstable coalition and hence no cabinet.

Lack of national unity and unstable Cabinet made The president Hidenburg to make Hitler The Chancellor Of Weimar Republic.

Hidenburg hated Hitler, But he did this for National Unity.

9 UNHEARD AND UNUSUAL FACT’S ON NAZI GERMANY

Fact #1

Lebensborn was an SS-initiated, state-supported, registered association in Nazi Germany which was introduced with a goal to increase the Aryan children birth rate of persons classified as ‘racially pure’ and ‘healthy’ based on Nazi racial and health hygiene policy.

The Lebensborn program was designed by the SS to increase Germany’s declining birthrate. It was originally intended to provide pregnant “Aryan” women with financial assistance, adoption services, and a series of private maternity homes where they could give birth.

Fact #2

Nazi’s and their love for Animals

On 1934, The Reich Hunting Law was enacted which limited hunting. The act also created the German Hunting Society with a mission to educate the hunting community in ethical hunting.

#Fact 4

Hitler only had one testicle?

Analysis of long-lost medical notes seems to confirm that Nazi leader suffered from cryptorchidism, or an undescended right testicle.

Cryptorchidism is a condition in which one or both of the testes fail to descend from the abdomen into the scrotum.

Hitler really did have only one testicle, German researcher claims

According to a DNA research conducted by Belgian researches have found that Hitler had both Jewish and African ancestors.

Study Suggests Adolf Hitler Had Jewish and African Ancestors

#Fact 6

Hitler is said to have had Parkinson’s Disease.

Newsreels of Hitler show he had tremors in his left hand and a shuffling walk, which began before the war and continued to worsen until the end of his life.

It has been theorized that Hitler’s physical and mental health problems were the result of Hitler having been significantly Inbred and possibly having monorchism. (single testicle)

People who are inbred have a higher chance of having disorders and harmful mutations.

This can be seen as four of Hitler’s potential brothers all died during child birth.

How stupid of him to compare a god with a fanatic.

his incident taught me that sometimes good can be twisted to achieve bad things.
