Propaganda Posters used By Nazis

1 minute read.

The Propaganda used by the German Nazi Germany in the years leading up to and during Adolf Hitler’s  leadership of Germany (1933–1945) was a crucial instrument for acquiring and maintaining power, and for the implementation of Nazi Policies.

The Nazis effectively used propaganda to win the support of millions of Germans in a democracy and, later in a dictatorship, to facilitate persecution, war, and ultimately genocide. The stereotypes and images found in Nazi propaganda were not new, but were already familiar to their intended audience.

Here are some gruesome posters made by Nazis for flooding out propaganda to seed hatred towards people other than “Aryans”-

This poster from a eugenics exhibition in the 1930s reads, “Sterilization is Liberation, Not a Punishment.” Three handicapped children are also pictured with the caption, “Who would want to be responsible for this?”

60,000 Reich marks. What this person suffering from is hereditary defects costs the People’s community during his lifetime. Comrade, that is your money too.

Nazi propaganda slide contrasting how far 5.50 German Marks will go. The cost of feeding one person with a hereditary disease for one day is the same as it would cost to feed an entire family of healthy Germans.

A poster showing the belief that the “inferiority traits” are passed on more easily than “high value traits”.

One thing that shudders me the most is these posters are not even a century old.

Lets hope these type of cruelty never happen again.
